Theodore Roosevelt Middle School – Boiler Replacement & Asbestos Abatement

This project included the removal of the equipment in the boiler room and pipe insulation in the boiler room and attic. The steam piping from the boiler room extending to the air handlers was removed as required for new work. New work included installation of new boilers, boiler feed system, combustion louvers, water softeners, chemical treatment system and also the refurbishing of existing housefan bearings and the new air handling unit in blower room. GEM cleaned the existing ducts and air shafts and installed multiple new self‐regulating radiator valves with integral thermostats. Also, a new building automation system to control the boiler plant and the air handlers was installed.
